Two years ago I was invited to participate in an Artists’ Colony in Croatia. For various reasons I had to postpone such a wonderful plan. I was able to make the trip last June and paint the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic.
The work carried out was donated to collaborate with the project to maintain some salt pans from the Middle Ages, famous for being the oldest and largest in Europe. Its salt, of great purity, is extracted manually as in ancient times.
The photo shows the exhibition room set up inside one of the enclosure’s forts, as well as a watercolor painted during my short stay.
